2017 Legislative Update Training

The North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association is pleased to announce that we will be providing 2017 NCSA Legislative Update Training for sheriffs, sheriffs’ personnel and personnel from all other law enforcement agencies from across the state. This training is provided with funding by the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.

Each training session will cover legislative changes enacted by the 2017 General Assembly that affect criminal justice issues.

Participants will receive a training manual which will include a copy of the PowerPoint slides, other training material, and a link to access the 2017 Legislative Update training electronically on the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association’s website.  These materials can be used to train additional personnel within their agencies.

Training sessions will take place at the following locations:

  • Martin County – Tuesday, October 17, 2017
  • Duplin County – Wednesday, October 18, 2017
  • Wake County – Tuesday, October 24, 2017
  • Haywood County – Tuesday, November 28, 2017
  • Catawba County – Wednesday, November 29, 2017

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. and each training session will take place from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 4:00 p.m.  Lunch and instructional materials will be provided ONLY to those who have registered in advance.
