The North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association (NCSA) will hold a meeting on January 29, 2019, open to all sheriffs and sheriffs’ office personnel responsible for monitoring sex offenders, to discuss the needs of sheriffs related to a statewide sex offender database that allows for robust data entry and retrieval at the local level.
Late last year, many sheriffs and sheriffs personnel submitted written suggestions to us as requested related to “a statewide sex offender database that allows for robust data entry and retrieval at the local level.” At this meeting we will be discussing those suggestion already submitted and will be accepting additional suggestions from the sheriffs and sheriffs’ office personnel in attendance.
The meeting will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with lunch included. The meeting will be held in Guilford County. An exact meeting location and meeting start time will be emailed to you upon your registration for the meeting.
After the January 29 meeting, public notice will be given advising any interested State agencies and private corporations that a Request for Propsals will be issues in the first quarter of 2019 relating to the development of “a statewide sex offender database that connects all 100 counties and allows for robust data entry and retrieval at the local level.”
